07.07.2024: Outlook on summer preparation for the new season.

On June 2nd, our men's teams ended the 2023/24 season with an away game at FC Ohlsbach. Around seven weeks later, the team will start summer preparation for the coming season. On July 15th, 2024, the team led by coach Erol Nezirov will come together for the first time and complete their first training sessions together.

The first friendly match against KLA newcomers SV Niederschopfheim 2 is scheduled for the same week on Saturday.

We have strengthened ourselves individually in some positions so that the team is stronger across the board, said coach Erol Nezirov.

29.06.2024: Spectacular KinzigCross is getting bigger and bigger.

With 456 registered participants, of which 436 reached the finish line, the 4th KinzigCross was the largest in history. In the future, an increase in the number of participants to over 500 runners seems to be possible. Year after year, this special obstacle course attracts more and more running enthusiasts, so that the fan base continues to grow. The after-run program also plays a part in this. With the award ceremony, catering and music from DJ Jimmy, there was still a lot to do after the sporting part. Some participants and spectators celebrated at the after-run party in Schwaibach until late into the night.

01.05.2024 Erol Nezirov extends for the 24/25 season.

The decisive factor here was the sporting path so far and also the perspective with the previous team, as well as the new additions for the new round (further publications to follow).

At the same time, the club management decided to install a winter lawn with proper lighting.

26.04.2024: General meeting at the SSV.

Dear members, friends, readers,

some news about the general meeting of SSV Schwaibach on April 26, 2024.

This year, elections for the board of directors took place. In many areas, long-standing members stood for re-election and were confirmed by the meeting. The biggest change is right at the top. Walter Wußler (previously 1st board member) is leaving his post after a total of 31 years (two terms / youth leader in between). Walter will take over the post of treasurer and support the new board members with his experience. The entire club would like to thank Walter for his services. There are really no words for his sacrifice and willingness over the last few decades.

08.09.2023: Around 100 children at the SV soccer camp

The Genge Savings Bank FoundationThis year, the nbach Youth, Culture and Social Affairs Association has once again brought the SV football school with world champion Guido Buchwald to the Black Forest - and this is now the tenth time. This time, on the grounds of SSV Schwaibach, the motto was: get your balls on, get set, go.

"The football camp is a highlight in our foundation calendar every year - we are delighted that the tenth camp starts today," said Martin Seidel, board member of the Sparkasse Foundation, on Wednesday at the opening in Schwaibach. This time, too, everything revolves around shooting and goalkeeping training, game formats and small competitions - the nine coaches from the SV football school will once again give the young footballers numerous tips and tricks. "And when you get them from a real world champion and his team, that's something special," said Sebastian Lebek, board member of the Sparkasse Foundation.



In 2022, the camp took place over three days for the first time - and the organizers stuck to that again this year: More than 100 children have registered - including 14 refugee children. "Football connects people, nationalities. Football is integrative, knows no outsiders. Football is a team sport. Losing together and winning together - solidarity is what makes football," emphasized Martin Seidel. And Mayor Thorsten Erny (Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Sparkasse Foundation) added: "The boys and girls are enthusiastic, take one or two tips from the professionals and are simply looking forward to playing football together. The offer reflects everything that the foundation stands for: youth, culture and social issues."

Thanks were also given to Viktor Göppert, youth leader of SSV Schwaibach, and his club colleagues: After 2016, this year the camp is being held for the second time at SSV Schwaibach. "We are celebrating our 60th anniversary this year, so we are particularly pleased that the football school is being held here. The coaches are great, the children have a lot of fun and learn a lot. What more could you want?" said Viktor Göppert.

The coaches of the SV football school led by Guido Buchwald opened the football camp in Schwaibach on Wednesday together with representatives of the SSV Schwaibach, the two foundation board members Sebastian Lebek and Martin Seidel, the mayors Thorsten Erny and Philipp Clever as well as Schwaibach's mayor Bernhard Rauer.

06.02.2023: Interview with player-coach Timo Waslikowski

Hello Coach,
Before the season, you decided to join SSV Schwaibach as player-coach. You certainly knew from the start that you first had to form a team in order to be competitive. What motivated you to take on this coaching position?

After a good conversation with sports director Peter Unrau, which our mutual friend Pierre Maurer had organized, and some time to think about it, it was clear to me that I wanted to accept this challenge and build something here with those responsible.

How satisfied are you with the season so far?

Due to the changes and the numerous new arrivals, we first had to find our feet as a team. The team's positive development was particularly evident in the last few games before the winter break. The players are implementing the tactical and playing instructions better and better, so we can be quite satisfied with the way the season has gone so far.

What are your further goals after the winter break?

Develop the players/team further, achieve more wins like in the preliminary round and achieve a better position in the table at the end of the season than now.

During the winter break, the club was able to sign three players: returning player Jan Hofmann, Pascal Pfisterer and Oliver Lang. What do you expect from the new signings?

The most important thing is to let the boys settle in and integrate them into the team. I am very pleased that we were able to sign three players during the winter break. They will increase the competition and help us with their quality.

What were your personal highlights in the preliminary round?

That we have consistently had two teams in play and have never given up despite bitter defeats.

15.01.2023: “Well done!”, that’s what we heard again and again from our visitors.

What a joy to hear such statements from parents, children and our guests. On Saturday morning we started building the grandstand. Youth coaches and volunteers from the parent group worked together as a team to make the magic of the booths possible. At the same time, almost record-breaking work was carried out on building the foyer and the kitchen. Only the wonderful smell of fresh coffee allowed us a little rest.

And then the first cake donations came from the parents of our young people. A great variety of muffins, sheet cakes, cheese cakes and sour cream cakes and... and... there were also one or two rarities where I can only say: "Made with love."

The kitchen was prepared under the watchful eye of our chef Mike Mehlhorn with fresh rolls (Lyoner and cheese), the homemade curry sauce for the delicious fries and the grilled sausages.

Hermann and Jonas Kälble also set up the sound system in no time at all, so our first guests from the E-Juniors were able to get started. In the first block of games we welcomed the following clubs: DJK Tiergarten-Haslach, FC Wolfach, SV Reichenbach, SV Zunsweier, SV Steinach, SpVgg Schiltach, SV Gengenbach and of course our SSV Schwaibach E-Youth with their coach Carsten Preuß. The stands were full after just a few minutes, so the spectators were able to cheer on all the teams. Shortly after 12 o'clock we were able to start the finals for the rankings. Here too, a big thank you to the many helpers from the tournament management, who broadcast all the results to our audience over the loudspeakers.

SSV Schwaibach took 7th place after a thriller in the 9 m shoot-out. The first three places were taken by FC Wolfach (1), SpVgg Schiltach (2) and SV Steinach (3). But the other teams also played a fantastic game. And since all of our players are winners, we also prepared a medal for all of the juniors. The award ceremony took place immediately afterwards with much applause from the spectators. The respective coaches did not go away empty-handed either. They received a team certificate with a winner's photo of their players, which was prepared by our first chairman Walter Wussler in the respective seasons.

At the same time, we were able to welcome the first block of our D-youth players from the following clubs: SV Waltersweier, FV Biberach, SV Ortenberg, SG Schuttertal, SV Haslach and our SSV Schwaibach D-youth with their coaching team Marco Klein and Luca Lasiu. For organizational reasons, we divided the D-youth to keep the waiting times between games short. Four field players plus a goalkeeper from each team got the atmosphere going. The substitutes could also be swapped as often as we wanted so that all players had a chance to shoot. After five games, SSV Schwaibach recorded the following final score: 6:2 with a total of 9 points. This meant that our team was able to take second place. The silver medal was then presented by our sponsor Daniel Suhm, “Natürlich Bauen in Gengenbach”. SV Ortenberg took first place and FV Biberach took third place. But here too, we were able to delight the other players and coaches with their medals and certificates.

We were able to welcome the second D-Juniors block with the following clubs: FV Zell-Weierbach, SV Oberkirch, DJK Prinzbach, SG Wolfach, SV Berghaupten and SV Gengenbach. Our referee team with Thomas Hollinger and Mike Mehlhorn were impressed by the fairness of the players and could only praise them. The referees recorded a total of 56 goals in this second block. SG Wolfach secured first place with five wins. Second place went to SV Zell-Weierbach and third to SV Oberkirch. We were thus able to end the evening with many happy winners.



We were also pleased to see a large number of hungry mouths who filled their mouths with our famous currywurst and chips. Again, a big thank you to the hard-working helpers in the kitchen and at the cake counter.

The next day we opened our Schwaibacher Budenzauber with our G-Juniors. We welcomed the following teams: SV Reichenbach, SV Steinach, SV Ortenberg, FV Biberach, FC Ohlsbach and our Schwaibacher G-Juniors with their coaching team Michael Gießler and Christoph Bauernschmid. Lots of little feet ran wildly through the hall and scored lots of goals. Fair play was the main focus here and so we were able to present all players with a gold medal. We were supported by our sponsor "Sparkasse Kinzigtal", Mr Sebastian Lebek. Lots of little hands were high-fived and certificates handed out.

Afterwards we welcomed the F1 and F2 junior teams. They were as follows: SV Steinach, FV Biberach, SV Ortenberg, FC Ohlsbach, SV Reichenbach, SV Gengenbach, SV Ortenberg 2, FC Ohlsbach 2, FV Zell-Weierbach, SSV Schwaibach and SSV Schwaibach 2 with their coaching team Jonas and Hermann Kälble. They thrilled our audience with a total of 116 goals. The players gave their best and were rewarded with medals and certificates. We were able to present a special gold medal to our coach Jonas Kälble. He is starting a trip around the world this week and will not be able to support us for a long time. We are looking forward to his return and wish him lots of fun on his trip. Enjoy this adventure with many greetings from your SSV youth department.

Apart from that, I can only thank and congratulate all the spectators, players, coaches, helpers, tournament management, referees and all our organization team for the great event. Those were two great days.

08.01.2023: SSV Schwaibach sets the course for the future

Those responsible at SSV Schwaibach have announced the early extension of coach Timo Waslikowski's contract. We are extremely satisfied with the work of our coach and our plans for the coming season are well underway. That's why it was important to us to extend our contract with our coach in the first place, said board member Christoph Bauernschmid. We want to strengthen ourselves in certain areas so that we can be in the top ranks of the table again in the near future, said the board. I personally also really enjoy working with the guys, even if we are currently lacking points, said Timo Waslikowski. But I am sure that we will score a few more points in the second half of the season. We also have a few goals ahead of us in the future that we want to achieve together, said the coach.

07.01.2023: SSV Schwaibach pulls off a transfer coup for the coming season



Johannes Geyer is moving from the regional league team SV Niederschopfheim to SSV Schwaibach next season. Those in charge and coach Timo Waslikowski have been in contact with Johannes for some time and can now officially confirm the transfer. Johannes will be building in Schwaibach next summer, which is why talks with SSV took place early on. In terms of sport, he is an absolute regular at SVN and will bring a lot of experience and quality, according to those in charge. He also fits in well with the team on a personal level.

25.12.2022: New Year's Eve Run: Registration is still possible

SSV Schwaibach is organizing it for the 23rd time

Three years have passed since the last "proper" New Year's Eve run. Now it's finally time to "Run with us!" again at the New Year's Eve run in Gengenbach-Schwaibach. For the 23rd time, many running enthusiasts will be at the start of the New Year's Eve run on Saturday, December 31st. There were 30 participants in the premiere year in 1998, and 412 in the previous record run on December 31st, 2018. But we are miles away from that. The corona pandemic has changed the world of running. Major events are booming again, while smaller events have had to cope with a decline in participants of 20 to 25 percent for months. This will most likely also be the case in Schwaibach, says organizer Hubert Müller. Nevertheless, the organizing team of SSV Schwaibach is looking forward to being able to send numerous athletes on the two, five, seven and ten kilometer runs on December 31st at 2 p.m.

After the race, a small award ceremony will take place in front of the SSV sports restaurant. The closing event in the community hall, which has been the norm in recent years, will not take place, but is firmly planned for 2023.

Registrations for the 23rd New Year’s Eve Run are open until Friday, December 30th, midnight via w www.schwaibach-lauf-mit.de , but also directly via the raceresult registration portal.

A special incentive for pre-registrations is the raffle of a voucher worth 50 euros.

Late registrations are only possible at short notice on December 31st in the SSV sports restaurant from 12 to 1.30 p.m., says Hubert Müller.

23.12.2022: Oliver Lang comes from SV Ortenberg to SSV

Our coach Timo Waslikowski and Oli know each other from their time at DJK Prinzbach and he has been living in Gengenbach for a long time. He has trained with us often and wanted to join the SSV. Oli will strengthen our team and is also a nice guy, says the coach.

19.12.2022: Pascal Pfisterer comes from DJK Prinzbach

After a long and intensive contact with Pascal, it finally worked out. He comes from the A-League team DJK Prinzbach, where he already played alongside player-coach Timo Waslikowski. Pascal has the right attitude and can be used flexibly on the wings, says the coach. He is looking for a new challenge and also fits in well with the team on a personal level.
